Jim Knapp has over 35 years of experience in healthcare and investment real estate advisory. He has served numerous area hospitals, senior housing providers, medical practitioners, and investors, as a trusted resource for market studies, site identification, and property dispositions.

Marcus & Millichap spearheaded seniors housing brokerage nationally in the 1980’s and established the Michigan office in 1998. Jim was the first senior agent hired to establish a Michigan-based seniors housing and healthcare group. Since entering this business, he has generated a significant market share of nursing home, assisted living, memory care, and independent living business sales and acquisitions. He has built a dominant market presence, successfully closing over 130 separate transactions encompassing more than 150 facilities with over 12,000 beds/units in Michigan alone.
